MKB Fintechlab is the leading Budapest-based banking innovation lab, driving digital transformation and enhancing digital capabilities within the MKB Financial Group.

Started off in 2016 as the first fintech startup accelerator of Hungary, today MKB Fintechlab focuses on creating better financial services. We do this by introducing design principles and incorporating the most important innovations of the fintech ecosystem.

We enhance digital products, build lasting partnerships with innovators and organise events to share knowledge and build the most prominent fintech community of the CEE.

Role description

We are looking for a motivated person, experience with office management and HR practices. Becoming MKB Fintechlab’s Operations Champion is a unique opportunity to get a 360-degree view of innovation in the financial services sector.

As our team, and therefore our operation is growing we are looking for an Operations Champion to support our work by fulfilling operative functions and completing finance-related tasks. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that our operation runs smoothly, keeping our CFO up to date about the progress.

This is a full time position in our Budapest office.

Once Here You will...

  1. help the financial and operational work, directly supporting the work of our CFO.
  2. be responsible for various administrative tasks, filing documents, contracts and invoices, following up and tracking receivables and payables in our reporting systems.
  3. keep the office in order and make sure that we always have fresh water, coffee and fruits to fuel the workflow.
  4. manage HR processes, be responsible for making sure that each team member has the necessary equipment for work and feels comfortable in our office.
  5. synchronize teamwork by tracking holidays and sick days.
  6. manage the tools we are using as an administrator, such as GSuite, and the tools used by our design and innovation teams.
  7. support the onboarding process of new team members to make sure that they feel welcome, they are ready for work, they have all the necessary documentation and equipment to kick their first day off.
  8. help to deal with operational challenges that arise, support the CFO’s projects.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field, or higher
  • Fluent in Hungarian, English is a plus
  • Experience with Gsuite, Slack, and Asana is a plus
  • Openness and willingness to learn new digital tools and systems
