Training the next generation of fintech ninjas
At Fintechlab we consider education extremely important. That's why we take part in university courses and organize inspirational events for the community, bringing in expert speakers to share their knowledge and experience. Every year we run our own Fintech Academy as well. In 2016, we focused on fintech theory and trends to support entrepreneurs in idea generation. We went international in 2017, with a series of lectures from global thought leaders. Now for 2018, we are adding the opportunity for hands-on learning with our Hackathon and Pitch Academy for startups. Take a look at the details of this years' activities below.
There is an ever-growing buzz around fintech and it became a priority for the traditional banks to implement innovative solutions in the services they are offering. We will cover the following questions on the Fintech edition of Innovation Stories: How they are trying to do it? What are the first steps and what comes next? How can they manage the change inside their organizations? Is there a winning recipe for cultural change? What added value will fintech solutions offer in the future? How is the ecosystem getting ready for the era of open banking?
Our keynote speaker is Márk Hetényi, Chief Digital, Retail and Strategy Officer of MKB Bank. Hetényi is among the world’s leading financial experts on digital transformation and new business models in regards to cultural change.
We recommend this event to both fintech experts, startuppers and enthusiastic crowds. Mix and mingle with like-minded people and expand your personal and professional network while learning about something intriguing.
– Dec 2
We are organizing a hackathon between November 30 and December 2 in Budapest with the purpose to gather the best talent in fintech from Hungary and the CEE region, test the APIs made available by MKB Bank and find possible startups for our upcoming incubation program. To make the event more open to the ecosystem and provide a variety of topic areas to interested teams, we are offering our partners the chance to introduce specific challenges in the program.
Based on our experience even people with great ideas sometimes have difficulties when presenting their plans. The situation even escalates when the presentation needs to be done in a high stake environment or in English. At the end of our small group training participants will know how to capture the audience attention, how to build excitement throughout a pitch, what are the key informations that should be included and how to deliver it with ease.
